Department of Energy Engineering-Systems-Land and Construction (DESTEC) University of Pisa Since early 2000's the research activity of the project unit of the University of Pisa has been focused on the study of the building envelop behaviour, both in steady-state and dynamic heat transfer conditions. In order to make low as possible the intervention of the air-conditioning plant, during the summer, is important to keep the indoor air temperature constant against the external temperature excitations. The project unit has partecipates in development of the following research projects: Territorial emergencies: implementation of public housing with strategies low cost/high performance (2016); Scientific contributions for the application of the energy labelling procedure for existing buildings: comfort and environmental impacts, research projects of national interest (2006-2008); Development of models for the realization of energy efficiency measures in the public real estate, National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) (2011); Energy labeling and environmental audit of buildings. Simulation and evaluation methodologies, research projects of national interest (2003-2005).
