The project unit belongs to the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design "L. Vanvitelli" of the Second University of Naples created in 2012 as institutional transformation of Architecture Faculty "L. Vanvitelli", which was founded in the early '90s. The unit participates in the development of the following research projects: Guidelines for energy and functional improvement for building schools in the Mediterranean area (2015), S.E.E.M.: Solar Eco-efficient Envelope Mode, Italian Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea research project (2011/2013), The use of photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies at the building and micro-urban scale: evaluation of architectural integrability, research project of national interest (2008).
